The firm

A small firm, deliberately.

Aether Rep is a reputation and authority practice for individual principals, operating from Singapore. We take a limited number of mandates because this work does not scale without getting worse.

Why the firm exists

The market is split between two kinds of firm, and neither is quite right.

On one side, corporate communications consultancies that understand narrative and media but treat search as somebody else's technical problem. On the other, search vendors who can move a ranking but have never sat in a room where a board decides what to say by morning.

Principals need both, held by the same people, with a clear view of what the law in their jurisdiction actually permits. That is the gap this firm was built for.

What that means in practice

  • Mandates are led by a named principal, not handed to an account executive
  • We cap concurrent crisis retainers so the line is genuinely answered
  • Search engineering, media and privacy work sit in the same team
  • We work alongside your counsel rather than around them
  • We publish no client names, in any market, ever

Where we work

One desk, one standard

Singapore

Family offices, licensed fund managers, listed-company boards and founders across ASEAN. Local media relationships and working familiarity with PDPA, POHA and the practical mechanics of removal in this jurisdiction.

Everywhere else

Mandates regularly extend to Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, London and New York, because our clients operate there. Search does not respect a border and neither does an attack.

The line we hold

What we will not take on.

This industry has a reputation problem of its own, earned honestly. We would rather turn work away than contribute to it.

Declined, without exception

  • Suppressing accurate reporting about harm to identifiable victims
  • Concealing material facts from a regulator, court or counterparty in diligence
  • Fabricated reviews, sock puppets, paid vandalism or covert encyclopedia editing
  • Attack work against a competitor, a critic or a journalist
  • Anything that requires us to lie to a publisher, a platform or you
